Upon first inspection, Pueblo is a soft, matte leather with a distinctive brushed texture. It's a leather that invites you to touch it and surpasses all expectations when you do.
The story starts in Italy at the renowned Badalassi Carlo tannery, where carefully selected bovine hides are vegetable tanned, through-dyed, and finished using traditional Tuscan techniques.
Once the tanning process is complete, the hides are infused with a carefully balanced blend of oils and waxes that nourish the leather from within. This creates the supple feel and lasting durability that Pueblo is known for, while allowing it to age gracefully with everyday use.
What sets Pueblo apart is its distinctive surface. The grain undergoes a mechanical finishing process to create a soft, matte texture with an initial rustic appearance. The textured finish is designed to evolve, gradually becoming smoother and richer as it is handled. In raised areas, Pueblo will develop faster, leaving areas of high contact burnished and glossy, creating stunning contrast against the less affected areas.
As the natural oils from your hands interact with the surface, the colour deepens, the texture softens, and the characteristic Pueblo glow begins to emerge. No two pieces age in exactly the same way, making every finished product uniquely personal.
